The Troublemakers

Bringing a Metric Carp Ton of fun to Sunday & Monday nights

We are a casual Alliance raid team on the Aerie Peak server and part of the Convert to Raid guild. We are looking to make progression in normal and heroic raids for World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth.

A fond farewell and a heroic fat bastard...not you, Skin.

It is with mixed emotions that your resident tiny gnome posts this. Last night was Skinsaw's last night as our fearless raid lead and main tank. His shoes will not be easy to fill. He kept us going through some shaky times and we will forever be grateful as Troublemakers for that.

But, we couldn't let him go without giving him a present, could we? NOOOOOO! So we got him a big ole' fat bastard named Gorefiend, heroic even.

We harnessed some SERIOUS last pull mojo folks. I'm talking like maybe 5 people alive, less than 1% mojo magic. I don't know about the rest of the team but I can't think of a better way to send Skin off than beating the "raid breaker" boss on heroic (and it took us fewer attempts  than normal did). THAT, in and of itself, should give you a hint into how far the team has come since first setting foot in the Citadel.

What happens now? Good question. Some of us original Troublemakers have banded together to keep the raid team alive through the rest of Warlords. Our meager little council consists of Bluette (the finger breaking warlock) who be fielding the recruiting office and raid assembly duties. Izzak (mage extraordinaire) will, maybe be taking a break before Legion, but will be hanging around and filling in where needed until then. And finally, myself, fulfilling the usual website duties and taking over forums & raid tool duties.

While it doesn't cover all of our raid lead needs, it will hopefully keep us going as a team until Legion hits. Our consulting Canadian, Canadianeh/Isilador will be around to assist from time to time but if anyone has a burning desire to lead call outs, is knowledgeable in class & team makeups, and just can't get enough strat, please hit one of us up. Now is a good time to stretch those legs if you have always wanted to try it. I'm hoping that with what remains of our expansion, we will naturally find the perfect mix, shake out the bugs, and be ready to hit Legion with force. *fingers crossed*

Things we learned: The team doesn't know it yet, but I have a surprise for our next raid...stay tuned! ;)

Go wide! I'm OPEN!!! - TOUCHDOWN!!! Shadow-Lord Iskar defeated.

I'm just going to say it.

This week was some good raiding. We may have found our sweet spot. Let's keep it going gang. We had awesome farm boss clears (with completely new folk in tow). Numbers were good. Moral was good. We even ALMOST one shot Gorefiend when we got to him. Why did we struggle for so long?

Killing Gorefiend early in our second night meant facing a new foe. Will it be Socrethar or Iskar? Once up top, we decided to face off with Shadow-Lord Iskar. There was the new boss strat discussion. A gnome may have fallen asleep [UNCONFIRMED].  Until finally, it was go time!

Chakrams started flying. Lasers pew-pewed! People started passing...

*gnome dancing*

Wut?

Ahem, needless to say, our first attempt had him below 40% and with each pull, we saw even lower numbers until...

We stomped him so hard that we actually ended the night a little early and on a high note. Go team!

Things we learned: Never listen to Ix when he tells you to scissor kick someone in the head for being late to raid.

Lining up our sights...The Iron Maidens have fallen!

The following message has been (un)officially approved by Eddie!

Last night the Troublemakers put an end to the Iron Maidens. I think I even heard Blackhand cry a little.

I wish I could give you all sorts of details about how many wipes, close calls and awesome attempts there were, but I wasn't there for most of it. The real life boss needed to be battled first so, by the time I showed up (for the last hour of the night), there were strange druids running everywhere and some new hunter pew pewing everything. I had doubts I was in the right raid group for a second.

There was no time for love, Dr. Jones.  Battle started, and there was the dodging, and the healing, and the grouping up, and the spreading out, and the bombs, and the turrets, and the LooOOooove Booooaaat (shiny and new)...and the chaos.  And suddenly it all died. They all died! And we were victorious.

The end.

Ok, that's just my perspective since my first attempt of the night with the team brought us VICTORY! Coincidence? *raises eyebrow* Thank yer lucky gnomes folks!

Shout out to our druid and hunter helpers (in the chaos I forgot to make note of their names...DOH!).

We ended our night with an accidental pull on Oregorger (messy but effective) and a few attempts on our new target, The Blast Furnace. We managed the heat regulators pretty well. Next up, mastering the elementalists.

Things we learned: Check ALL the bodies for loot on Iron Maidens (not just one) and rogues and DKs bicker like old married people. ;)

Heroic Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap!

We're double dealin'...five bosses into normal Highmaul and last night we decided to give Heroic Kargath another shot....BOOM!

Things we learned: Two healers CAN make a difference and, even on heroic, Kargath STILL has a thing for gnomes.

Troublemakers are Pol Fit Certified!

Before we get started, I'd like to take a moment to congratulate Ixsander for finally getting his hard earned Pol dancing certification. You've earned it big guy. ;)

For the rest of us, we learned to dance with fire...lots and lots of fire. We may need some extra burn salve this morning but it doesn't change the fact that we have...ANOTHER BOUNTY CLAIMED!

Things we learned: Leave fire dancing to the professionals kids! (Don't try this at home) and ghosts in the machine run rampant on systems on the longest night of the year. BEWARE!

WEEK TWO - Another bounty claimed!

A great start to week two gives us one shots on both Kargath and The Butcher and a NEW bounty claimed...TECTUS!

Things we learned: Tanks that fall into the tiger pit (and LIVE) keep healers in combat until Tectus. Team gets a "Mulligan"  for that first wipe on Tectus to defeat the "combat" boss.
